  Jamie Clyde, CEO of SLOW, grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital renowned for a festival, a castle and endless wind and rain. "It’s a beautiful city, big enough to make you feel part of the world but small enough to walk everywhere - if you don’t mind getting wet" He started his first business writing computer software at the age of twelve and hasn't stopped cooking up other ventures since. One of his proudest moments was cofounding and selling an international management consultancy before he was thirty.

  Heidi Brauer is the Creative Director of SLOW & gets to pour love, passion & extreme pickiness into the brand & customer experience. She also takes care of marketing & loyalty for Comair, British Airways and kulula.com & their ventures & adventures. Heidi studied at Wits University and has had careers in market research, pharmaceuticals & nursing. She serves on marketing industry bodies and in her own words "I may be nuts"

  Tamar runs OPEN Food. Tamar's relationship with SLOW allows her to express her life’s deepest passion ––creating memorable dining experiences with fresh, uncomplicated & nourishing food and exquisite presentation and service. "We are blessed with an abundance of diverse, fresh ingredients in South Africa,so I have made it my mission to showcase our bounty rather than hide it in complicated recipes & intimidating presentations."
  
  SLOW challenges Tamar's team and herself to embrace contrasts, to create slow, easy-going, melt-into-the-sofa meals.
  Tamar was born in the Jacaranda city of Pretoria and grew up in crazy Jozi town.She is a city slicker – and proud of it. She has loads of experience in food and hospitality but loves learning new things and believes she has a lot to learn and this is why many times a year you will catch her boarding a plane to somewhere where she can sip on a new coffee roast and relish the local cuisine.
- Jonathon Meyer (General Manager)
  
  Jonathon Meyer was born in windy Port Elizabeth and grew up in Johannesburg. He discovered his passion for the Hospitality industry at a young age when he began to explore the life of Culinary arts.
  
  Jonathon traveled abroad to the USA after graduating from College and it was working there in the Food and Beverage industry that he discovered the true understanding of passion. "As General Manager for SLOW in the City Sandton it is my responsibility to ensure that guests cannot imagine a world without SLOW in the City."
- Andrew Levy (Membership)
  
  Andrew Levy was born in the beauty of the Cape and raised in the bustle of Jozi. His passion lies in growing the South African nation through entrepreneurial development.
  
  SLOW in the City is part of this journey for him as it gives ‘Change Makers’ time and space to make the difference that South Africa needs. He also helps run a photographic NGO called Umuzi Photo Club, which aims to raise social awareness about issues facing under resourced communities in South Africa.
  
  Andrew is looking to build a community of SLOWmembers who are going to help change the way South Africa is in the future. "leaders, entrepreneurs and go-getters are going make the difference in South Africa and I hope those actions will start at SLOW in the City".
- Michelle Deavall (Events Manager)
  
  Michelle Deavall was born in a small town called Virginia in the Freestate. She grew up in Potchefstroom, where she developed her love for arts, travel and design. It was the hustle, the bustle and the opportunities the City of Gold has to offer, that saw her leave the small town life for the big city lights. As the SLOW events manager Michelle looks to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from her corporate events and hospitality background as well as diploma in Hospitality and Project Management,
- Vanessa Pieterse (Marketing)
  
  Hi, I am Vanessa Pieterse. I was born in Johannesburg and grew up in the beautiful Mother City, Cape Town. After travelling and working in London for 2 years I came home to the City of Opportunities, Johannesburg. I started my career at Comair in December 2008 and completed my IMM diploma in Marketing Management in May 2009. My experience in the travel industry, my passion for marketing and my love for the SLOW brand has brought me to the position of SLOW Brand Manager.
- Riaan Gould (Executive Chef)
  
  Riaan Gould was born in the home of culinary experiences, Cape Town, nestled between the beach and the mountain backdrop. With his City and Guilds Diploma he was the youngest Head Chef at one of South Africa’s leading hotel groups. "I am quite simply passionate about food and I love to delight others through fine cuisine." The menu at SLOW in City is a key ingredient in creating a productive and enjoyable visit and as Executive Chef, Riaan knows he is responsible for delivering fresh, interesting and nutritious food that can compliment every business meeting. Always wanting to push himself Riaan welcomes your thoughts and ideas when you try his food at ‘SLOW in the City’.
